About StrungIn^TM for Schools

School websites can be a great information resource – for your students, your staff, your school community or for prospective parents. But all too quickly the information on a school website becomes out-of-date, and schools are usually dependent on individuals with special skills and lots of spare time to make all the changes. Alternatively you may have to pay an IT specialist or contractor to manage the content. Either way, the reality of the website does not live up to the promise. At Drawstring, we specialise in providing websites for primary and secondary schools. After consultation with schools over a number of years we have produced a system that will allow you (or better still, your administrative assistants and other staff members) to keep your website up-to-date. The interface has been developed to be intuitive and is as simple as using a word processor! You can manage what pages you want to appear, their content, including photos and linked documents. Update events on your calendar. Manage the access you provide to staff, parents, students and the public. Do this on the spot without having to know anything about programming language. This allows you to manage pages and files on the website that only specific users will have access to. Here are some practical examples:

- Publish / reviewing system
  the system allows you to setup who has publish rights (publishers). You can select some users that have the ability to update page content, however the changes will not be visible to the general public until a publisher has reviewed and approved it.

Calendar
customisable calendar allowing you to manage your school's calendar. The system also allows you to choose who can view each entry - for instance, you may have particular entries only for staff, or only for parents as an example.
